Welcome to "AE I Owe You", a spot for tutorials and helpful tips relating to Visual Effects and Motion Graphics. While the majority of posts will relate to AE (After Effects), this blog will also showcase other software as well. At least the ones I know how to use. ;) If you find something useful here, feel free to say so in the comment sections. Enjoy.

Hi David,
I recently starting using scripting for AE at my workplace and I'm finding your series immensely helpful. Today I tried to re-visit episodes 1, 2 and 3. I can view episode 1 but the links to 2 and 3 send me back to the beginning of episode 1.
I'm pretty sure I had seen 2 & 3 a few weeks ago so perhaps this got broken recently? Anyway, I thought you should know.
Please keep up the great work!
G.
Try it again, I just changed the pagination setup on the article. All three videos should appear on the same page now. PVC is having a few transitional hiccups with the new system. I apologize for the headaches.
That fixed it! Thanks.

Hi David,
The links appear to be broken again, sending users to an incorrect page. This is for eps 1, 2, 3, and the main page with all the links.
(Fortunately, I need to watch eps 11 today, which seems to be working fine.) :)
Anyway, just thought you should know.

Hello, David.
Links to these first episodes of your amazing training series are broken or at least there's something wrong with the PVC site. I believe the rest of the episodes links are ok. I also noticed that all these videos can only be viewed through the PVC site (they're marked as private on Vimeo) so, sadly, that leaves me no choice except for hoping that PVC can fix this issue.
Cheers.
Thank you for the heads up Luis. I have notified them and they are looking into it. Sorry for the inconvenience. It should be back up soon.
Wow, that was a fast response, thanks! :)
I couldn't live without using expressions, so scripting is the next natural step for me and your course is on my top to-do's list.
Glad to here you are diving right in. I would say that if you know expressions and are fairly comfortable with Javascript, you could probably get away with skipping the first three episodes. It's mostly just basic Javascript and how to understand the general way of thinking when writing code. You can always come back to it too when it's back up too. :)
That should be "hear".
Luis, please try the link again. It should be working now.
It works perfectly. You're the best, David.
Thanks again and hopefully I'll show you my first scripts soon. :3
